Unified Process Management

3Nexus have successfully led a diverse range of enterprise commercial and federal projects, including several million-dollar projects. With UP, you can initiate, plan, implement, execute and monitor, and close complex project in a plan-and-discipline driven approach. Have you found the answers for the challenges below?

  • Is your project overwhelmingly complex?
  • Do you have to meet regulations from multiple agencies or departments?
  • Do historical matrixes prove that risks must be better managed?
  • Must all stakeholder priorities be addressed early and through out the project cycle?
  • Is your architecture proven to work?
  • Do you need preliminary and detailed designs before implementation?
  • Do you need to overcome inconsistencies in requirement and uncontrolled change propagation?
  • Is your product life-cycle and maintenance important for your success?
  • Do you have limited budget and need to have a set of automation for testing regression of your products for every change?
  • Does your project require the highest quality delivery and minimal rework?

We can help! In every project we deliver, we follow the principles to balance stakeholder priorities, enable effective collaboration across teams, demonstrate value iteratively, and continuously improve quality. The practices are focused on the project life cycle, and each of the disciplines in the cycle. We help to address problems that your complex projects often face in 9 disciplines below.

  • Business modeling discipline
  • Requirement discipline
  • Analysis and design discipline
  • Implementation discipline
  • Quality assurance discipline
  • Deployment discipline
  • Project management discipline
  • Configuration management discipline
  • Enterprise environment discipline

While most iterations involve many of the the process disciplines, the extent and effort of the disciplines varies over the different phases of the project cycle. With our sound knowledge and expertise in United Process management, we apply the disciplines in each of the initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing phase of a project effectively.

3Nexus' Unified Process in Action

Use Case Diagram

Use Case Diagram depicts the relationships among the use cases and the actors within a system. It helps the stakeholders understand the nature and scope of the development project. These diagrams are used for providing an overview as well as for modeling the analysis of the usage requirements for a system.

Business Process Diagram

Business Process Diagram is based on graphical flowcharts and models of business process operations. While a number of business processes are depicted on a single Diagram, the processes that are related are combined to make it easy to comprehend. Business Process Diagrams are used to represent complex process semantics in business process management.

Activity Diagram

Activity Diagram

Activity Diagram shows the workflows of components in a system. It shows the sequence of activities performed in the system to describe the state of activities. Activity diagrams are used for modeling the workflow behviour of the system being designed and for analyzing a use case by describing the type of action required and its time of occurrence with complex sequential algorithm.

Class Diagram

Class Diagram shows the static view of a model or a part of it, and describes the attributes and behavior of the model. It illustrates the classes and interfaces of the system, their interrelationships and their attributes. Class diagrams are used for analyzing the requirements in the form of conceptual/analysis model, for depicting the design of object-oriented or object-based software in detail, and understand domain concepts in the form of domain model.

Webex Conferencing

Sequence Diagram

Sequence Diagram

Sequence Diagram visually describes the logical flow of a system. It focuses on identifying the behavior within the system and enables the developer to document and validate the logic. Sequence diagrams are important design-level models used to show the interactions between objects within a system in sequential order.

Automation Test Tool and Report

3Nexus offers regression test recording, test report generating, and test scripts for unit, web service, silk tests and more. Our clients can save 30% to 300% on regression test time and cost.

Configuration Management

One of the CM models 3Nexus recommend is the mainline model that includes development branch, mainline branch, and release branch. The mainline is branched to release codeline when a defined set of functionality is complete. Release codeline is managed by Release Engineering team to ensure that it is of optimum quality to be delivered to the customer. For software product with multiple maintained versions, the mainline also has a sub-mainline in each version. You can imagine a quality scale: in development branch quality is suspect, in the mainline we know what we're dealing with, and in release it is suitable for customers to build products with.

Risk Management Database

Risks are taken seriously at 3Nexus. Our management team identifies and mitigates risk as soon as possible. Our philosophy is, "New fish is better than old fish." Our Risk Management database helps in documenting and communicating risk information among the project members. A risk management process includes various program characteristics which are specific to a program. Accordingly, the risk management database is tailored to support different aspects of risk management such as identification, analysis and tracking, in addition to documentation and communication.

Bug Report and Tracking Tool

We identify any problem before it sigficantly impedes the development process and resolve the isuue during the early stage of development; with a detailed Bug Report that allows developers access it directly, tracking is easy and can be done from every end, so that the progress of the project is flawless and a product free from any error is delivered at the end. Feedback of a software development project often includes the Bug Report
